CHAD W. SCOTT, Owner/President

Mr. Scott served eight years in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged after serving in the first Gulf War. Chad is a marine civil engineer with over 25 years of experience and is a commercially trained diver. Chad's history in construction extends back to his youth where he was involved in residential and commercial construction projects from an early age. Over the past 20 years, he has been involved in the engineering, project management and construction on projects varying in size throughout the United States. He has extensive knowledge in design and development of commercial waterfronts, heavy marine, civil and both commercial and industrial building structures.

CRAIG A. JOUPPI, Owner/Vice President

Mr. Jouppi has extensive experience in detailed analysis and design of many types of critical structures from industrial building and bridges to marine structures. He has skills extending beyond his engineering background such as project management, detailed design, condition assessment and inspection both above and below the water. Additionally, Craig has over 14 years of construction experience. He grew up in the logging industry, working with heavy equipment since the age of 10. He was involved in several types of dirt work, road construction and was consistent equipment operator by the age of 13. Prior to his engineering career, Craig worked at Wells Concrete installing erected pre-cast buildings, operating equipment, scheduling, permitting, project management and serving as super intendent. Additionally, Craig is a commercially trained diver and tender.  

STEVE FOSTER, Project Manager

Mr. Foster has approximately 10 years of land surveying/civil engineering technical work and over 20 years of civil, marine, and industrial construction experience. Steve has been a project manager for NORDIC since its inception in 2012 and has been involved as a manager on multiple projects that included site design and oversight, permitting, surveys & construction staking, estimating, crew coordination, procurement and serving as the liaison between Nordic and its clients. 

DOUG OLSEN, Project Manager

Mr. Olsen grew up with building in his blood and has over 20 years of experience in building construction. He has managed projects as large as $8 million in construction value. He has held his residential contractor's license in various capacities over the past 17 years. Doug's honed his leadership and management experience during his five years of executive leadership as COO/CEO for a $20 million industrial manufacturing company prior to working with Nordic Group. These experiences have contributed to his success in project management. Mr. Olsen has effective communication skills, cost analysis experience, works within budgets and quickly responds to client questions and concerns. 

AARON YOUNG, Safety Manager/Dive Safety

Mr. Young served eight years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Diver. Aaron utilizes his skill learned in the Navy to uphold the highest levels of safety for our construction and marine diving groups. Mr. Young ensures a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for the employees, clients, and others on company and/or client property. He is committed to training employees on the importance of health and safety which, in turn, protects the company and client, ensures efficient operations, and meets any specific requirements a customer may have. Aaron ensures all jobs are OSHA compliant. He maintains and tracks employee training certificates and oversees Nordic's drug, alcohol, and contraband policy.
